Years in advance cities need to submit their interest to host a congress, conference, exhibition or event to Associations. Several cities tend to submit bids to host the event and the right to host the event is only won after a lot of consideration by board and committee members of that Association. Bids require a dedicated team of professionals to carefully put the bid together. The local hosts, specialists in the field and the Bureau work hand in hand to ensure the bid is successful.

Bidding Partnership
From the bid to bidding delegates farewell – we help your organisation win and then plan a successful conference. As the peak business events marketing body for the Gold Coast – we provide professional guidance throughout the entire process.
The Gold Coast Convention Bureau in conjunction with our partners will manage the bid process from start to finish as this process can be long and complex.
All bids are different but here is the standard format -
1. Research the Association and the history of the event and ensure the destination can meet the criteria for the event
2. Form a local organising committee who are dedicated to bringing the event to the city
3. Put together the bid document
4. Conduct a city inspection
5. Make the final presentation to the Association's board or at their upcoming Conference to delegates who vote on the location of the next event
6. Once the bid is won help the association and local organising committee with developing the event – we help to appoint a PCO (Professional Conference Organiser) and source venue proposals. Closer to your event we can assist with destination marketing activities by providing collateral to promote the city and region.
