Gold Coast Triathlon

In 2002, one of Australia’s most promising triathletes, Luke Harrop was tragically killed while on a training ride on the Gold Coast. A keen and dedicated sportsman, Luke was extremely popular within the Gold Coast community, and to honour Luke the Gold Coast Triathlon now carries his name.
The event is a Sprint Distance 750m swim / 20km cycle / 5km run, and in 2010, this premier sprint distance triathlon will be the Gatorade Queensland Tri Series Grand Final. The Gatorade QTS series caters for all ages and abilities, attracting beginners through to seasoned triathletes. The series also allows past competitors the opportunity to regain their love for the sport!
