Make Me Media Savvy | 3 May

Business marketing options have never been so affordable, so far-reaching, so varied and so overwhelming. While the flood of social media options such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube provide exciting new marketing and advertising opportunities, traditional marketing options aren’t giving up without a fight.

MeMedia director Chris Hogan said traditional avenues such as television, print, radio and out-of-home advertising have become more powerful and more affordable in the face of new-age competition. “Traditional media avenues have also been proven to be successful, time and time again,” Mr Hogan said.

MeMedia is a full-service marketing agency serving the Gold Coast with clever advertising and exceptional websites since 1998. Committed to educating business owners on how to market themselves better, MeMedia will host a ‘Make Me Media Savvy’ breakfast seminar on May 3 featuring a line up of speakers, the likes and quality of which is not often seen together in South-East Queensland.

Among the line up of expert media publishers will be representatives from Business News Publications, NBN Gold Coast, Go Transit, ReachLocal, Salmat and 92.5 Gold FM. Topics will include outdoor mobile advertising, the role of print advertising in the modern media landscape, how to plan and execute a successful letterbox drop, television - from black and white to digital, how to correctly use radio, and how consumers use the internet.

“Small-to-medium business owners will agree that most of their time is spent working ‘in’ their businesses rather than ‘on’ them,” Mr Hogan said. “Business owners all too often need to take a break from the daily grind and invest in themselves first for their businesses to really flourish. “This event will enable them to obtain up-to-date, localised advertising information to empower them to make more informed decisions about where their marketing dollars can be spent, to maximize results.”

The ‘Make Me Media Savvy’ breakfast seminar will be held at Bond University on May 3 from 7.15am. Tickets are $49.90 per person and are available at www.memedia.com.au or on 5518 8732.
